Thank you for your interest in Exquisite Rags Ragdolls! We are a small, family run cattery, located on the north shore of Long Island, New York. Our home is conveniently situated nearby to both the Long Island Railroad, and the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry.

While we are new to breeding, we are not new to this fabulous breed as we brought home our first Ragdoll, Jake, in 1998. Though we were too busy raising our young family to become breeders back then, it was our love for Jake--a gorgeous and wonderfully funny boy--that sparked our interest in becoming breeders of these outstanding cats.

In our effort to produce "exquisite" ragdolls, we have spent countless hours researching the Ragdoll breed, and all that goes into running a clean, healthy, regisitered cattery. We are out most weekends showing our cats in both CFA and TICA so that we can be well educated in what the Ragdoll standard expects, and how we can best achieve it. All of our cats are from outstanding, reputable breeders, and all are out of champion lines. We have DNA tested each of our breeders for HCM, and are pleased to report that all are negative.

Because we want to be able to dedicate plenty of time to the socialization of each our kittens we will only be producing a small amount of litters each year. Our kittens will be fully litter box, and scratching post trained prior to leaving our home at approximately 13 weeks of age. They will have visited our veterinarian at least twice, and will have received their initial required immunizations.
